Coffee Lovers Spring Hop {Card #2]

Hi stampy friends. I spent the evening eyeing up some online stores for new stamps and dies...wow, there is so much out there and I have so much. Needless to say, I did manage to find some goodies...but I did not press "order" yet!

All this surfing got me in the crafting mood and I whipped up a simple card for the Coffee Lovers Spring Hop! Once again I am using the new Simple Stories 6x6 paper pad called "I Am". I kept my card clean and simple. I paired it with the Tea set called One Cup from Verve.
I am a coffee-loving-cardmaker!
I love polka dots! I was inspired by the graphic at FUSION...loved all the patterns and colours in the bowties! My mugs are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured simply with Copics. This card took minutes to make!

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Coffee Lovers Spring Hop

I am a coffee-loving-cardmaker!

I am so excited to participate in the Coffee Lovers Spring Hop! The theme is coffee and spring and so I just had to use my new Simple Stories 6x6 paper pad called "I Am". As soon as I saw that paper, I had to have it! I love the polka dots and the floral print! SO pretty!

I used the fun sketch over at Viva la Verve. It is from Week 1 and I am playing along with Simon Says Stamp-the Anything Goes Challenge! I have been waiting to use it and it seemed perfect for the coffee hop. I must admit that I gave up coffee for medical reasons. I stopped drinking it about 4 weeks ago. But I LOVE my tea! (And yes...I miss my coffee).

I used a Martha Stewart doily and the die cut banner is from my MFT dies. I stamped the coffee cup on the white paper, the pink paper and the blue paper and carefully cut them out to layer the cup.

I inked up a Stampin' Up set that is retired but one I have not used as much and I paired it with the Tea set called One Cup from Verve (for the sentiment). I love the fonts in this set!

I hope you are enjoying the hop and thank you to Amy Tsuruta for setting up such a fun event!

Viva La Verve {From All of Us}

Well, it's a bright birthday card and I made it using one of the Viva la Verve Sketches! I have noticed that I do not have a lot of birthday cards in my stash...so I decided to make it a goal for me this year! More birthday cards are needed!

Anyway, pulled out a fun set called Small Packages from Verve and went to work. I coloured the cupcakes with Copics and fussy cut them out. Then I stamped the birthday sentiment in Strawberry Slush ink onto Pink Pirouette paper from SU! I wanted to create my own background. I pulled the colours from the new SAB paper pack and tried to mix it up. It's a bit busier than my usual style. The "All of Us" sentiment is in one of the new Lawn Fawn label dies I picked up at my local craft shop yesterday. I am a sucker for all stitched dies!

Is it too busy?

Viva La Verve {Kind Words} & The Color Throwdown

Hi stamping friends!

Been slow to craft these days. Life has been full and I was unwell. I tried to craft today and I will admit I am out of practice. It's funny how hard it can be to throw a card together when you have not stepped into your craft space for weeks. But I went to work and played along with my friend Stacey's fun sketch at Verve. I didn't follow Stacey's sketch to the letter but I was inspired to play along!

My sweet friend, Debbie told me to add some glitter to my flower...so I did! I think it turned out great! Thank you, Debbie for pushing me out of my comfort zone!

Also entering this into the current Color Throwdown Challenge.

Supplies Used:
Papers: Black, White, MME
Inks: Black-Versa Magic
Stamps: Verve
Dies: Stitched Ovals-MFT & Flags (MFT)
Embossing folder-Stripes by SU!

The Challenge #25 {Welcome to Anita!}

Card Base: 4.25 x 5.5"
Gray Flag: 1.25 x 3.75"
White Flag: 1 x 3"
Oval: Any Shape

For my card I used one of my favourite Verve stamps called Lean On Me-I love those blooms! I also used a sentiment from Bloom & Grow. Keeping my design fairly simple, I die cut my side "flags" with some dies from MFT and used a Martha Stewart doily to add a feminine touch. My flower is coloured much more delicately than it appears in the photo...but my colouring is also a tad off these days...so there you go! I used both the colours and the sketch this week! As you can see I put my card together a bit differently than the sketch and that is ok...as long at the sketch is visible!

Freshly Made Sketches {Grow with Love}

This weekend I made a quick and easy card using the fun sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I had some pretty flower pieces in my stash from LONG ago and thought that it would look pretty with the sketch! I hope you do too! The flowers in the pack have glitter right on them!

My flower represents the second rectangle in the sketch. It was a fun sketch. It felt good to get crafty!
