The Challenge #21 {Sketch &/or Colour}

Sketch Dimensions
(this is only a suggestion)
Card Base: 4.25 x 5.5"
Middle Section: 4 x 4.25"
Long Middle Strip: 1.75 x 5"
*Any Shape for the Butterfly or Large Label Shape

Welcome to The Challenge! Every other week we bring you a colour/sketch combo! You are welcome to combine the colours and sketch or just use one part of the challenge! It is totally up to you! The design team have created inspiring samples to get you into the crafting mood! Come and join us!

For my card, I used some chipboard from Simple Stories and I combined it with a pretty Christmas sentiment from Verve! I used a doily for the main shape in the middle of the sketch and punched out a simple circle; sponging it with some ink. I used both the sketch and the colours from The Challenge. I kept my card fairly simple...letting the designer paper do all the work! I put the tree on the left, rather than the right...and you are welcome to do the same!!

The team has created some more samples to get you into the crafting mood!!! Feel free to create any type of card using either the sketch or the colours or both! Happy crafting!

Merry Monday #139 {Peace on Earth}

I have had a ball being the Featured Designer for Merry Monday! I have missed my team very much and it was fun playing along with them! Thank, ladies for having me! Today we have a fun theme from Karren! She is looking for a Winter Themed card. I decided to use some of the new stamps from SugarPea Designs to create my wintry card! The sentiment from Lost Without You was stamped in espresso ink. The trees come from Sweet Treats.

Here are the sets I used to create my card.

Sweet 2 Repeat SugarPea Designs Blog Hop {Peace on Earth}

Welcome to the SugarPea Designs December Sweet 2 Repeat blog hop where we showcase our newest release! Now that you've had a chance to add these sweet sets to your SugarPea collection, we're bringing you even more inspiration!

I wanted to create something with a lot of texture so I used my Darice Snowflake embossing folder for the white background and added some burlap ribbon. The sentiment from Lost Without You was stamped in black ink.

My main square measures 3.5" and I cut a small white "snowy hill" to layer it. Then I stamped the trees from Merry Christmoose onto white paper and coloured it with my C3 Copic marker to add some shading. Then I fussy cut them out, and popped them up on the snowy hill. The star from Lost Without You  is stamped in silver ink. It shines brightly.

Here are the sets I used to create my card.

I am playing along with the following challenge:

Be sure to hop along and leave a comment at each stop along the way for a chance to win $20 to spend in the SugarPea Designs Online Shoppe! Woot!!!
