Seize the Birthday #4 {Birthday Cake}

It is a busy week, I am so proud that the musical I have been directing is opening on Friday! I have been unable to make cards or blog, and I am sorry I have not been commenting like I usually do! I have directed the show "Oklahoma" and it opens on Friday!!! The cast and crew I am working with is absolutely lovely and dedicated! It has been such a positive experience!!!

This week at Seize the Birthday, we are using the same sketch as last week to create a Masculine Birthday card! Lori Boyd is our sponsor and she has such cute images. I used a small birthday cake from one of her sweet sets and enlarged it, so it was the main focus on my card!

A special thank you to my talented friend Sherry Eckblad for joining us as a Guest Designer this week!!! We hope you will join us!

Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge #47 {Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas}

Welcome to my weekly Christmas card Challenge called "Merry Monday"! Each week, I post a challenge to inspire you to create a Christmas card for your Christmas card stash! I have a design team of 10 lovely ladies and we are all working on getting a Christmas card done each week! This is our last challenge with the talented and inspiring Deanna Dean who has been a wonderful Featured Designer for January! I am a huge fan of Deanna's work, she always inspires! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cards with us Deanna!!

Our challenge this week is a TIC TAC TOE Challenge, where you get to choose any three squares in a row-up/down/diagonally! I chose the bottom row of Designer Paper, Red & Green and Ribbon. This week I had fun inking up another Christmas goody that I purchased for myself while on holiday! It is a Christmas set from My Favorite Things. I admired it this Fall and was so thrilled when I found it! I also used the sweet sketch from the Feeling Sketchy Challenge and the Winter Spirit Challenge at the Ribbon Carousel.

{Supplies Used}

Seize the Birthday #3 {Make a Wish}

There is a brand new sketch up this week at Seize the Birthday!!! I loved playing with the sweet little birthday girl that Lori sent to me!!!

For the rest of January, we are being sponsored by the lovely Lori Boyd over at By LORi Designs! This week she provided the team with some awesome masculine images for our BOY BIRTHDAY CARDS!!!

I inked up my image with Copics and used some fun paper called Lucky Love from My Mind's Eye. We hope you get the chance to get inky and join us this week!

Casual Fridays and Lawn Scaping {All You Need is Love}

{Supplies}
Stamps: Lawn Fawn {Winter Owl}, Hero Arts {True Love Collection}
Inks: Copics, Memento Black Ink
Paper: Flourishes White Cardstock, SU! Pool Party DSP
Extras: Corner Rounder Punch

I wanted to play along with CAS-ual Fridays Long and Short Challenge and the current Winter Themed Lawnscaping Challenge. This card was quick and easy to put together! I enjoy making CAS cards! All you need is love to keep you warm on a winter day!!! I stamped the owl onto a post it note and then fussy cut the owl out. Then using my post it note owl, I used it to make a mask and double stamped the owl image onto my card stock, so Berta's scarf tails (girl owl) wouldn't fly in the face of Bert (boy owl). My images are coloured with Copics.

Merry Monday Christmas Card Theme Challenge #46 {For the Birds}

Hello and welcome to another challenge at Merry Monday!! I am happy to report that over 40 stampers made a Christmas card for our challenge last week and now they can celebrate that they have one more Christmas card in their stash for next year!! Hooray!

This week's challenge is a Theme Challenge and one that I am so excited about! I love using bird images on my Christmas cards and while traveling this Christmas, I picked up a new Lawn Fawn stamp that I had to have! It had been on my wishlist all Fall and it did not disappoint when I inked it up!!!  It stamped smoothly and was such fun to colour! I stamped the owl twice, stamping it once onto a post it note and then cut it out. Then I masked the Owl so I could created two owls, snuggling together. I used the fun sketch over at Splitcoast Stampers! I used a "branch" in place of the banner!!! I love being able to mix pattern papers and this week I went to town using papers from Carta Bella, Stampin' Up and Simple Stories!!!

The design team has created such pretty and adorable creations to get you into the birding mood!!! Have fun creating your Christmas card!! A big welcome to our Guest Designer Kim Badelt, who won our challenge last week!! Would you like to be a Guest Designer? Be sure to play along, as our weekly winner is our next Guest Designer!
